Following the game's delay to May 2026, IO Interactive has announced the PC requirements for the upcoming James Bond game, 007: First Light.
IO also mentioned that it worked "in close collaboration" with Nvidia for the game. 007 First Light uses DLSS 4 with multi-frame generation, which the developer says allows for an "even deeper sense of immersion and improved performance."
The minimum specs are relatively low-end and don't call for an SSD; this is targeting 1080p/30fps. The recommended specs are also not particularly high-end outside of the 32GB RAM requirement, and target 1080p/60fps. This may be lower than many PC enthusiasts may want. There is no word on what a higher-end experience could require.
IO Interactive CTO Ulas Karademir said working with Nvidia allowed the studio to "deliver a PC experience that matches the level of quality we believe the Bond franchise deserves."
007: First Light is a third-person action-adventure game that tells the story of how James Bond earned his 00 status. The story follows a 26-year-old Bond who joins MI6 to become a spy, with the game taking players around the world to fight people and drive fast cars.
In addition to PC, 007 First Light is in the works for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Switch 2. It launches on May 27, 2026, which is a day after GTA 6 was going to launch before it was delayed to November 2026.
As for the movie series, a 26th James Bond movie is in the works now with Oscar-nominated filmmaker Denis Villeneuve signed on to direct and Peaky Blinders creator Stephen Knight writing the script. There is no word yet on who may play James Bond, though Callum Turner is said to be the frontrunner.
