From Software Wants Bloodborne On PC Too

Fans have been clamoring for Bloodborne on other platforms, including PC and PS5. While its PS4 version is backwards compatible on PS5, fans still want to play an enhanced version with features such as improved framerates and higher resolution. As it turns out, many From Software developers want a PC port, too.

In an interview with PC Gamer, director Hidetaka Miyazaki was asked once again about the possibility of Bloodborne on PC. Except this time around, he was specifically asked if he personally wanted to see it happen.

He pointed to producer Yasuhiro Kitao and interpreter Bobby Simpson and said, "I know for a fact these guys want a Bloodborne PC port. If I say I want one, I'll get in trouble as well. But it's nothing I'm opposed to."

Miyazaki continued by explaining that he wants more players to enjoy Bloodborne, especially as the years go by and sometimes games get lost to older hardware and time. "I think any game like that, it'd be nice to have an opportunity for more players to be able to experience that and relive this relic of the past," he says. "So as far as I'm concerned, that's definitely not something I'd be opposed to."

Since From Software doesn't own the rights to Bloodborne, it's not the studio's call to make, but rather Sony's. However, Sony hasn't seemed to forget about Bloodborne as the game is making a cameo in the upcoming Astro Bot game. That game's creative director is adamant this isn't a tease of anything, but rather an homage to a PlayStation great from the past.

In the meantime, folks will still be able to enjoy more Elden Ring content when the Shadow of the Erdtree expansion launches on June 21.
