GTA 6 Studio "Must Be Quaking" With Nervousness About Living Up To Hype, Hell Let Loose Dev Says

The developers at GTA 6 studio Rockstar Games "must be quaking" with nervousness about the reception to the game, according to developer Craig Clark. Clark is a producer on Hell Let Loose, and he said in an interview that Rockstar has a lot of hype to live up to with GTA 6.

"The more excited people get, the more you get worried," he told GamesRadar. "I feel like Rockstar must be quaking."

GTA 6 is coming to market with a seemingly unprecedented level of hype behind it, and the game is expected to be a gigantic success commercially. The game has been delayed multiple times already, with Rockstar saying it needed more time to get the game up to its quality standards.

Clark also said he's feeling good about his own upcoming game, Hell Let Loose: Vietnam, but the worry is that people might be expecting more than the studio is delivering.

"I think the game is good, I think it plays well, I'm enjoying it, but what if some guy is like, 'Well, I was expecting to be able to do this, this, and this, and this would happen.' I'm like… 'I'm so sorry,'" he said.

Clark also talked about how other game developers may be looking to set dates for their upcoming games to avoid GTA 6.

"Everyone's gonna avoid GTA like the plague," Clark said.

Hell Let Loose: Vietnam does not have a release date yet, but based on Clark's comments, it's safe to assume it won't be close to November 19, 2026, which is GTA 6's release date. The 50v50 shooter is set to launch at some point this year.
