These numbers, first noticed by Insider Gaming, apply to just the main trailer shared by Rockstar Games on YouTube. The video, of course, was re-shared and re-posted by countless other accounts, thus boosting its reach even further.
To date, Rockstar has released just that one trailer in late 2023. Everyone is waiting for Rockstar to share more, whether that's a second trailer, more screenshots, new information, or anything at all. As of yet, however, Rockstar has said confirmed or even indicated as to when more details may be released.
Rockstar owner Take-Two will release its next earnings report on May 15, and these events sometimes include news about upcoming game releases--but not always. In any event, that'll no doubt be a date that GTA superfans circle on their calendars in the hope that more information is released around then.
GTA 6 is officially set for release in Fall 2025 on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. With Take-Two's Mafia: The Old Country coming in August and Borderlands 4 in September, some are expecting GTA 6 to follow in October, but this is just speculation. Take-Two has also warned that GTA 6 could be delayed to 2026.
The expected arrival of GTA 6 in 2025 is going to be one of the biggest moments for gaming this year, along with the debut of the Nintendo Switch 2 in June. While fans have to wait a while longer for GTA 6, Rockstar just brought GTA 5 Enhanced to PC Game Pass and added GTA 5 to Game Pass on console.
