This process is done via the Shrine's Impetus Repository screen:
- Check out a particular weapon type and look for eight-pointed skill nodes. These are the nodes that allow you to upgrade your gear.
- Spend Red Mercury to unlock interconnected perks.
- If you have Red Feathers, use these to activate the upgrade.
- Note that some nodes have multiple levels denoted by small pips. That means the node can be upgraded multiple times.
- You can reset your skill points freely. This also refunds the Red Feathers that you've used in case you want to boost a different weapon type.
