Battlefield Redsec is the military shooter series' new free-to-play battle royale game. A great way to gain an advantage over your opponents in Redsec is to use custom weapon loadouts. Custom weapon builds are often better than the ground loot you'll find in your matches, but acquiring your personal guns isn't as straightforward as it is in other battle royales like Warzone.
Battlefield 6 and Battlefield Redsec feature shared progression, meaning all the weapons and attachments you unlock in multiplayer are also available in the battle royale mode. Here, we'll guide you through setting your custom Battlefield 6 weapons for use in Redsec, and we'll explain how to get them in your next match.
In order to use one of your Battlefield 6 weapon builds in Redsec, you'll first need to set the weapon build as a favorite loadout. This is done by selecting the weapon in the game's gun customization menu and pressing Triangle/Y on controller. You'll know it's marked as a favorite by the red star banner, as shown in the image above.
You'll likely want a few different builds for various situations and combat ranges, and you can save up to eight custom weapon builds as your favorites.
These favorite Battlefield 6 weapon builds can be obtained by collecting Redsec's custom weapon drop, which is similar to Warzone's loadout drop. Of course, it's also worth noting that you only get to pick one custom weapon per drop.
There are two ways to get your own custom weapon builds in Battlefield Redsec:
Public events are a riskier way of getting a loadout. This event provides custom weapon drops at random. This isn't like Warzone's loadout drops, where every squad gets their own dedicated drop. The event seems to only provide a few for everyone to fight over. You don't know when or where this drop will land, and it's something marked on the map for everyone, making it a very high risk.
The safest way to get your favorite guns is to check your missions and complete one that offers the custom weapon drop as a reward. Missions show up shortly after the match starts. These work similar to Warzone's contracts, but you'll have three random missions made available to you and your squad. You can find your missions in-game by opening your map. The mission list is located on the right side of the map, and you can tab through them to select the best one for your squad.
