During the recent State of Play, Bungie announced that its upcoming shooter Marathon will offer PlayStation users special weapon charms for taking part in the open beta. There will also be weapon charms for Xbox and PC players, Bungie has clarified.
"We'll have weapons charms for Steam and Xbox players as well, which we'll share more about in the future," the developer said.
This was actually confirmed back on February 12, but the news is making the rounds again after Marathon's social media account reiterated this.
PS Plus subscribers who play the Marathon beta will receive weapon charms based on other Sony games, including Ghost of Yotei, Death Stranding 2, and Helldivers 2. It remains to be seen what the weapon charms will be for Xbox and PC users, however.
The Marathon open beta begins February 26 and runs through March 2, which is just days before the game releases on March 5. For more, be sure to read GameSpot's Marathon open beta rundown to find out all the key details you need to know.
Marathon, which is priced at $40 USD, is just the latest live-service project from Sony. Management believes the game will not suffer the same fate as Concord, thanks in part to Bungie conducting numerous tests and making changes based on feedback.
