Minecraft And MLB Team Up For Baseball-Themed Fan Caves

Earlier this year, the Los Angeles Chargers unveiled the team's upcoming 2025-2026 schedule directly on Minecraft. Now, Minecraft is turning from football to America's pastime with a new partnership with Major League Baseball. Minecraft and MLB are collaborating on the MLB Fan Cave, a new official add-on for the game that lets players decorate their Minecraft homes with paraphernalia from all 30 teams in the league.

As noted above, some of the MLB-themed items include team jerseys and banners, as well as trophies and other in-game items. The MLB Fan Cave was created by Pathway Studios, which released a short teaser video for the add-on.

It's been a banner year for the Minecraft franchise, including 2025's highest-grossing film, A Minecraft Movie, which made just over $800 million worldwide. Jack Black's Steve's Lava Chicken song from the film also became the shortest song to ever chart on Billboard's Hot 100.

In other semi-related news, a modder recently brought aspects of Minecraft into Super Mario 64 through a mod that actually works on the physical Nintendo 64 console. Lego has also launched four new Minecraft sets, including a giant creeper. Meanwhile, the Ape Cognition & Conservation Initiative in Iowa taught two of its apes how to play Minecraft.
