Monster Hunter Wilds' seasonal Festival of Accord: Blossomdance event is live, covering the Grand Hub in cherry blossoms and adding new armor sets and cosmetics to earn.
While the festival is live from April 22-May 6, Capcom states that "most" of the game's previously released event quests will return, in addition to two new ones.
The new Daughters of Carabosse quest tasks players with hunting two Lala Barinas and will reward materials to craft the new Blossom armor as well as butterfly-themed Palico equipment. Another quest, That Won't Work On Me, asks players to hunt a Tempered Xu Wu. Materials earned from the quest can be used to craft two new types of glasses and an eyepatch. Once created, the glasses can then be equipped by Alma for a new look (if players have previously completed the quest that unlocks glasses customization). Alma will additionally wear a special kimono during the event, after which players can unlock the outfit for her permanently via a separate purchase or by buying the Blossomdance DLC pack, which includes additional cosmetics and gestures.
A look at the new eyewear options players can craft during the Blossomdance event.
Log-in rewards over the course of the event will earn special tickets that can be used to craft the free Sakuratide armor set and Papier-mache Palico armor. Having the Sakuratide armor equipped while doing certain quests during the event will actually grant more reward tickets, and regular login bonuses during the event will be increased.
Those who login during the event will also score a special festival-themed Seikret decorations, pop-up camp decorations, and gestures, along with unique nameplates, backgrounds, poses, and titles that can be used on the Hunter Profile.
All of those cosmetics are in addition to the visual overhaul of the recently added Grand Hub added as part of the game's first title update. During the event, special meals will also be available at the Grand Hub using vouchers earned from daily login rewards.
The Blossomdance event comes a few weeks after Monster Hunter Wilds first major update. Title Update 1 added a new monster, Mizutsune, alongside the High-Rank version of the game's story boss Zoa Shia.
In other news, Capcom announced its cracking down on Monster Hunter Wilds cheaters, warning players against joining quests with modified rewards. Doing so could corrupt save files or see players joining such quests punished by Capcom's anti-cheat measures. Capcom said future updates will include more robust anti-cheat features to detect people modifying the game's rewards for their own gain.
