Mouse PI For Hire Delayed, But Not By Much

Mouse: P.I. For Hire is not going to release on time. Developers Fumi Games and PlaySide Studios have announced that the game is being delayed from March to April 16, 2026.

The developer said, "We want to ensure we are taking the extra time and care needed to make Mouse: P.I. For Hire an experience to remember."

"From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for your incredible support," the team added.

The game was originally set to launch on March 19, so the delay is not all that long. Still, anyone hoping to play the in March now has to wait a bit longer.

Mouse: P.I. For Hire is a first-person shooter that takes inspiration from "classic cartoons of the 1930s," featuring hand-drawn black-and-white visuals and a jazz soundtrack. You play as Jack Pepper, a war hero who becomes a detective and gets called in to solve the case involving a "complex web of intrigue, with corruption, kidnapping, and murder all on the docket."

As you probably gathered, it's somewhat based on the original Mickey Mouse cartoon style, and that's OK because those Mickey Mouse designs are now in public domain for many uses.

Mouse: P.I. For Hire launches on April 16 for PC, PS5, Switch 2, and Xbox Series X|S.
