Pragmata's tiny AI protagonist Diana has been turned into a VTuber, and is inviting other VTubers to the moon to engage in adorable conversations.
First to visit the newly-2D child protagonist was Usada Pekora, a Japanese VTuber affiliated with Hololive Productions--the largest VTubing agency in the world. She made her first appearance, known within the VTubing community as her debut, in July 2019 and has undergone minimal design refinements since. She resembles a human-like bunny rabbit, with blue and white twin tails with carrots braided into them.
Diana's VTuber model features her trademark oversized blue jacket and flowing blonde locks. Since Pekora is a Japanese VTuber, their meeting on the moon was recorded in Japanese but there's a (questionable) English dub of the encounter on YouTube.
During the meeting, Pekora introduces her "moon-themed" buddy as Diana from Pragmata. Pekora thought she was "so cute" when she was playing the game, so she came to visit Diana on the moon. Diana says she's "very happy" about the collaboration, and thought Pekora was also cute when she was watching videos of earth.
Diana became a VTuber after hearing that she could meet Pekora. The video highlights Diana's hacking skills in Pragmata, with gameplay clips. Diana then demonstrates her abilities by hacking Pekora, who screams and says it was pretty scary. The duo then discuss lunafilaments--the material found on the moon in Pragmata which can "print" items, environments, and more.
Diana shares her dream to visit earth and see "real" items with Pekora, who asks why she can't visit the planet. Diana explains that Hugh, the game's other main character, visited the moon from earth, but that the reverse isn't possible for her right now. The two discuss the physics of the moon, and how people weigh less there than on earth thanks to the difference in gravity. Pekora says that must mean people on the moon are "extra fluffy."
Obviously, this collaboration has come about to promote both Pragmata and the VTubing industry, especially Hololive Productions, but it's a very adorable take on Diana's already cute persona. As Hugh interjects towards the end of the interaction looking for Diana, Pekora reassures her that she can visit earth some day.
It remains to be seen whether Diana's VTuber model will feature in more interactions with other VTubers, but as far as crossovers go, this one's pretty sweet.
