Save 50% On Amazon Prime With New Young Adults Subscription

We're less than a week away from Amazon Prime Day 2025. While some deals will be available to everyone during the four-day sales event (July 8-11), many of the best offers will be exclusive to Prime members. If you don't have a membership and are between the ages of 18 and 24, you can save big on your subscription. Amazon's new Prime Young Adult subscription drops the price by 50%, lowering the monthly cost to only $7.49 (most members pay $15). Annual subscriptions are also half the cost at $69 instead of $139.

Even better, new accounts who qualify for the Young Adults membership get their first six months at no cost, plus 5% cash back on orders--both of which are perks exclusive to this new tier.

The Young Adult membership replaces the Amazon Student subscription tier, which required a valid university email address to sign up. Amazon Young Adult still allows you to validate your account via a college or university student email address or by confirming your age by uploading a photo of your driver's license, passport, or valid ID card, opening up eligibility to a wider range of customers.

Along with the lower price and exclusive perks mentioned above, Amazon Prime's Young Adult program also grants you all the benefits of a standard Prime membership, including free Prime shipping, access to Prime video streaming, $0 delivery fees through Grubhub+, and more. And if you sign up before Prime Day 2025 starts, you'll get immediate access to any Prime-exclusive deals--including early Prime Day deals that crop up before the actual sale starts on July 8.

Some of those early Prime Day deals include free memberships for Kindle Unlimited and Audible, price cuts to Kindle Fire HD tablets and Fire TV devices, as well as discounts on select Samsung Smart TVs, SSDs, and more. Be sure to check our Prime Day 2025 hub for more early offers, and check back starting July 8 to see all the best deals.
