Upcoming Fortnite Star Wars Battle Pass Will Include Iconic Prequel Villain

Developer Epic Games has revealed its (Death Star) plans for next season's Star Wars-focused battle pass, revealing that General Grievous will be included. The prequel villain will join other previously teased characters, such as Poe Dameron and Emperor Palpatine.

On X, the official Fortnite account shared an image of the skins coming to the battle pass for Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 3, called Galactic Empire. The picture shows the three Star Wars characters beside a Chewbacca-costumed woman and a totally new skin featuring various accessories from a galaxy far, far away, like a blaster and lightsaber. The upcoming season looks likely to start a week from today on May 2.

The Star Wars battle pass image for Fortnite is also intriguing for the skins it doesn't showcase. For instance, Darth Jar Jar and Mace Windu have been highlighted in teasers for the Galactic Empire season. So it's likely they will be item shop additions that players can buy separately.

Earlier this week, Epic also unveiled updates to the map for the Galactic Empire season. A few of the newest additions are First Order Base, Resistance Base, and Vader Samurai's Solitude. Meanwhile, Fortnite also received new TMNT skins this week, too. Casey Jones, Krang, Bebop, and Rocksteady became available in the item shop on April 22.

Further into the future, Fortnite will be a Nintendo Switch 2 launch title. The upcoming system is set to launch June 5 for $450.
