While the early days of Fortnite's relatively new kicks cosmetic type have been dominated by Nike and Jordan, other shoe brands have gotten the chance to get in on the fun more recently. Such as Vans, which will be the next brand to join the Fortnite kicks lineup when the item shop resets today at 5 PM PT/8 PM ET.
Players will have the chance to nab four distinctive pairs of Vans--including the iconic checkerboard slip-ons. The other three pairs on offer will be the Premium Old Skool Gum Crystal Blue Vans, the Authentic Red Vans, and the Sk8-Hi Navy Blue Vans. All of the Vans kicks will cost 800 V-Bucks, and there's no bundle.
Fortnite's Kicks cosmetic got off to a rocky start when Epic launched the new type last November. First, their launch was delayed at the very last second in November, and when kicks finally became available only a relatively small number of skins could even equip them. But those issues are in the past--the only Fortnite skins who can't wear kicks now are Bender, Fry and Leela from Futurama, for reasons unknown.
Vans is the fifth shoe brand to get involved in Fortnite kicks, after Nike, Jordan, Adidas, and Crocs. Nike and Jordan dominate the selection, with nearly 60 pairs of kicks available, while Adidas holds a very distant third with 12 pairs. Beyond that, there have also been ten pairs of Fortnite-original kicks, and five pairs of Crocs.
