Destiny 2 is making physics collision damage and fall damage less lethal in Lightfall, its upcoming expansion. As announced in a recent blog update, physics collisions will no longer mean instant death once Lightfall releases, and fall damage will also be reduced in a mid-Season update. While they may no longer be lethal, collisions will still do some hefty damage, but as the dev team explains, "will generally leave you at 1HP instead of outright splattering you." This will presumably be...

The company made the announcement in a press release shortly after February 8's Nintendo Direct. Though it's unusual that other first-party Nintendo games coming out this year (Pikmin 4) won't see the same increase, the small hike doesn't...

Kirby's Return to Dreamland didn't set the world on fire when it was released on Wii in 2011. The gentle, kid-friendly platformer was a moderate success, garnering generally positive reviews and modest sales but otherwise passing without much notice. In the wake of the stellar Kirby and the Forgotten Land, Return to Dreamland Deluxe for Nintendo Switch is giving the game a second chance. And while it still isn't as surprising as some other Kirby outings, during a recent hands-on session I...

The latest Nintendo Direct gave us a new look at its biggest game coming in the first half of this year, The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. The new trailer mostly showcases more gameplay but also teases more of the game's story, which seems to be quite tragic, much like its predecessor (or most Zelda games, if we're being honest). It's not all doom and gloom, however! Following the trailer reveal, Nintendo also announced that Tears of the Kingdom is getting an accompanying Amiibo...

Professor Layton fans perked up during the February 8 Nintendo Direct, as their favorite puzzle solver and wearer of large hats was briefly shown in a teaser for a Steampunkish new sequel, appropriately--though perhaps confusingly for PC gamers--called Professor Layton and the New World of Steam. Not so much as the titular character's face was shown in the short trailer, but we do get a short glimpse of what the world will look like. See for yourself. A release date wasn't revealed but you...

This new version of Metroid Prime adds dual-stick controls, which allow you to move and look at the same time. The announcement--and subsequent shadow drop--comes as Metroid Prime 4...
