Assassin's Creed Black Flag Remake Rumors Heat Up With Leaked New Merch

Assassin's Creed Black Flag took the inner conflict of the Templars to the high seas in the early 1700s during the golden age of piracy. Along with retaining the series' stealth and combat system, gameplay elements focused more on the ship-based exploration on an open-world map. It's long been rumored that it's in line for a remake, and a recently leaked statue could add fuel to that fire.

The unreleased statue features Black Flag protagonist Edward Kenway sitting on a treasure chest overflowing with gold coins, leaning back against his ship's wheel, brandishing a cutlass and a pistol. Above Kenway is a waving flag featuring the game's logo: the Assassin's Creed sigil with a skull in the center.

Numerous fans spotted the item pop up, including notorious Assassin's Creed leaker j0nathon, who quickly realized this was not a statue that had been publicly released already. Even weirder is how this statue was reportedly listed via the used clothing resale app Vinted.

⚠️ LEAK BLACK FLAG REMAKE ?

Last summer, Pure Arts hinted it had something in the works for Black Flag via a livestream and almost gave the whole game away.

"Assassin’s Creed fans out there, you should be aware that there is something going on with Edward [Keyway],” only for the other host to interrupt and ask, "Wait, has that been announced?"

The host continues, “I think so, I’m pretty sure I saw rumors about it. No, I definitely saw an article about it … So there's going to be something going on with Edward, and our PVC ⅛ scale statue will reflect that accordingly."

With McFarlane Toys having the action-figure license, it'll be interesting to see if there's any announcement during the New York Toy Fair next month about the Black Flag figure. The existence of this Black Flag revisit has been an open secret in the industry for years, with leaks dating back to 2023 and voice actors hinting about the project. Per reports as recent as this November, the Black Flag remake may launch on the week of March 23, 2026 should it not have suffered a delay.
