Czech Prime Minister Gifted A Huge Kingdom Come 2 Collector's Edition

The Czech Prime Minister now has a copy of Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, a high-profile, critically acclaimed, and top-selling RPG developed in the country.

The mayor of Kuttenberg, Lukáš Seifert, surprised the prime minister, Petr Fiala, with a collector's edition of the popular RPG. The image of Fiala holding the massive collector's edition is pretty fun to see, and he does look genuinely surprised to be holding it. Kingdom Come 2 was developed by Warhorse, which is based in Prague.

"We are incredibly proud to see our game presented at such a level and grateful for the support and recognition it receives within Czech society," Warhorse said.

Fiala is not the first head of state or world leader to be gifted a video game. Poland's prime minister Donald Tusk gave then-US president Barack Obama a copy of The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings, which was developed by Poland-based CD Projekt Red.

The new pope, Leo XIV, plays video games, too; his brother just revealed that Leo XIV is into Wordle and Words with Friends, or at least he was when he was awaiting the results of conclave.

Meanwhile, former Japanese prime minister Shinzo Abe dressed up as Mario during the 2016 Rio Olympics closing ceremony, emerging from a green warp pipe to hype up the Olympics in Japan.

As for Kingdom Come 2, the game received its first paid story expansion, Brushes with Death, while a free update for everyone added horse racing. The game has sold more than 3 million copies.
