A noted Halo dataminer appears to have hinted at when Halo: Campaign Evolved will release--you just have to do some math to figure out what this leaker is claiming.
Halo fan account grunt.api shared a couple of math equations (spotted by Insider Gaming) that people seem to believe contain the launch dates of the upcoming Halo: Combat Evolved remake. The equations read:
In case you're unwilling to do the arithmetic yourself, these equations suggest that Campaign Evolved will release in an early-access stage (or "EA" in the equation) on July 23, before an official release ("OR") on July 28. Presumably, the "early access" period would be for those who purchase a special edition of the game.
Of course, meet any leaks (especially ones divulged so cryptically) with a healthy amount of skepticism. We know that Microsoft is set on releasing Halo: Campaign Evolved this year, so an official release date reveal during or before the Xbox Games Showcase scheduled for June 7 is probable.
Campaign Evolved will be the first Halo Studios title built in Unreal Engine 5, along with the first game in the Halo franchise to release on a PlayStation console. Recently, Halo Studios confirmed that the game won't have a shop, but you can still get a new Master Chief skin by buying cans of Fanta.
Last week, veteran Halo developer Glenn Israel accused senior Halo Studios figures of committing "numerous unethical and/or unlawful acts" such as harassment and fraud. An Xbox representative told Windows Central that the company doesn't "publicly discuss individual employee issues" but takes "all claims seriously for both current and former employees."
