Easter may be over, but Spring has officially sprung in Hello Kitty Island Adventure's new "Month of Meh" update, and there's still plenty of egg-hunting to be had.
From now through May 31, Nisetama-san--a sub-character of Gudetama, Sanrio's resident apathetic egg yolk--will appear on the island. Nisetama-san's location will change each day, and players who manage to snap a photo of him will score some Egg Yolks that can be exchanged for prizes at the Egg Shrine. But snapping the elusive egg-man's photo isn't as easy as it sounds, as Nisetama-san will disappear if players take too long to get a shot of him.
Sanrio also has a springtime surprise for PC and Switch players: Content Update 1: Friends, Furniture, and Frozen Peaks is now available on Steam, and will arrive on the Nintendo Switch on May 22.
The Friends, Furniture, and Frozen Peaks update expands the Icy Peak area of the island, and also includes a new weather pattern and new flower types. The update also includes standard features like new stories, cosmetics, and furniture, along with a new furniture-stacking mechanic that makes decor a breeze and a "Call Friend" feature that allows players to link up with Sanrio friends from anywhere.
Best of all, this update is free on all platforms, and more zero-cost content updates are on the way, according to Sanrio and developer Sunblink.
Hello Kitty Island Adventure is available on Apple Arcade, PC, and Switch.
