How To Replay Cutscenes And CCTV Footage In Blue Prince

Do you want to rewatch old CCTV footage or cutscenes in Blue Prince? There's actually a method that unlocks this particular feature using terminals. Of course, you also need to gather a few clues along the way. Oh, and before we continue, please be reminded that this article contains minor spoilers.

How to replay cutscenes in Blue Prince - CCTV footage password guide

To replay cutscenes and watch CCTV footage, you must input a specific password based on clues found in the estate. Similar to our other guides, we look at the hints first just in case you want to discover these on your own. Then, we talk about the actual solution.

Where to find the clues for the CCTV recordings?

If you're eager to replay cutscenes in Blue Prince, you might want to check a couple of areas for hints:

  • Attic - After climbing the staircase, look to your right and squeeze through the luggage. You should see a drawing of multiple boxes. It's like someone attempted to erase the whole illustration, though you could see the letter "O" written on one of the boxes.
  • Safehouse - You can gain access to the Safehouse by riding on the boat in the Reservoir. Aside from some important quest items, there's also a drawing of several boxes. One box has the letter "A," and the edge of the note has "delete it" written on it.

Deciphering the clues on the terminals

So, what exactly do these clues mean? Well, if you look closely, you'll realize that these boxes resemble the screens in the Security room. In fact, these pertain to the first letters of the rooms shown in the terminals. From the top-left in the first row to the bottom-right in the third row, you should have:

  • S - Spare Room
  • W - Walk-In Closet
  • A - Archives
  • N - Nook
  • S - Storeroom
  • O - Office
  • N - Nursery
  • G - Gallery
  • H - Hallway
  • S - Security
  • S - Showroom
The code corresponds to the first letter of each room shown in the monitors.

What is the secret password?

You might recall the original terminal password: Swansong (which happens to be one of the most mysterious terms in the game). Given the new set of clues--i.e. the three additional monitors in the third row--you'd notice the "HSS" acronym, which is a reference to your great uncle Herbert.

In short: The secret password is SWANSONHSS. Go ahead and input this code in the Security terminal to gain access to another menu.

You can watch all sorts of cutscenes using the new password.

What can you check in the CCTV recordings?

The CCTV footage in Blue Prince is subdivided into several years, though many yield no results. The most important ones are from:

  • 1987 - Shows the actions of certain individuals when they were in the estate. We don't want to spoil all the details here.
  • 1993 - Shows the cutscenes that you've unlocked while progressing through the game. These include the Alzara Prophecies that you've watched in the Rumpus Room.

That does it for our guide on how to watch Security footage and replay cutscenes in Blue Prince. Perhaps you'll discover more secrets by looking into the past.
