Pokemon Day Deals Knock Popular Switch Games Down To Around $36

With the Pokemon franchise turning 30 years old today, now is the perfect time to get stuck into the hit pocket monster franchise. Fortunately, Amazon’s Woot store is offering massive discounts on several Pokemon games for Switch and Switch 2 consoles as part of its Video Games For All sale, allowing you to save big on these popular titles. While the games are already discounted, all you have to do is use the promo code LEVEL20 when you check out to get the price slashed even more.

The biggest bargain here is for Pokemon Legends: Z-A, as the Switch edition has been discounted to $36 (was $60). Released last year, Pokemon Legends: Z-A sees the series return to the Parisian-inspired streets of Lumiose City for a grand tournament, and it also offers a completely different battle system to learn and master. If you're on Switch 2, you can upgrade it for an extra $10, so this makes for a nice savings overall.

It's worth noting that this version features Spanish art on the cover and as the game's primary language, but you can set it to English in the menu settings. Its predecessor, Pokemon Legends: Arceus, is also another highly recommended game that puts a few interesting twists on the traditional turn-based gameplay of Pokemon.

Woot is also offering older mainline Pokemon games at a great price. Pokemon Let's Go Eevee and Let's Go Pikachu is down to $37.59 each (these are normally $60 each), and these were the first Pokemon games to be released for the Switch. Remakes of Pokemon Red and Blue, Let's Go Eevee and Pikachu are perfect for newcomers to the franchise. These beginner-friendly games offer simplified gameplay mechanics and a cute art direction.

Pokemon Generation Eight began in 2019, and you can experience the Galar region for yourself as Pokemon Sword is down to $37.59 (was $60). Inspired by the United Kingdom, Pokemon Sword and Shield saw the series flex its graphical muscles, giving players impressively large biomes to explore and catch new Pokemon in.

This was followed by Pokemon Scarlet and Violet in 2022, and while the games admittedly have rough technical edges on Switch 1, they still offer some of the best gameplay in the franchise to date. If you're on Switch 2, you can grab a free update that does a fine job at making them shine on the newer Nintendo hardware. The primal-themed Pokemon Scarlet is currently down to $36 at Woot, while the sci-fi-themed Pokemon Violet is available for $37.59.

For even more Pokemon deals, you can preorder a new box set of "mini" manga paperbacks based on the Sun and Moon games and bid on several hard-to-find Pokemon collectibles in an eBay sales event.
