It's the final month of Pokemon Go's Might and Mastery season, and the game is capping it off in a big way with a variety of events and Pokemon debuts set to take place over the next few weeks. Players will have their first chance to get Kingambit, Dynamax Suicune, and other powerful new monsters this month, while Mega Kangaskhan and Gigantamax Machamp will each star in their own special Raid Day events.
On top of that, new Raid bosses and Spotlight Pokemon will appear throughout May, and there will be two Community Days and other activities to look forward to. Here are all the biggest events happening in Pokemon Go this month.
Pokemon Go is refreshing its Raid bosses once again in May.
The island guardian Tapu Fini will appear in five-star Raids until May 12, after which the psychic trio Azelf, Mesprit, and Uxie will appear as Raid bosses in different regions. Following their departure, the island guardian Tapu Bulu will return to close out the month.
Mega Raids are likewise getting a refresh, with Mega Houndoom, Mega Gyarados, and Mega Altaria returning at different points throughout the month. Shadow Regirock will also appear in special Shadow Raids every weekend.

Pokemon Go is kicking May off with a Growing Up event from May 2-7.
True to its name, the event revolves around weak Pokemon that evolve into powerful monsters. Magikarp, Wimpod, Nymble, and others will appear in the wild more frequently throughout the event, while baby Pokemon like Happiny, Riolu, and Mime Jr. will hatch more frequently from eggs.
On top of that, the game will offer a new Collection Challenge to complete, as well as event-themed Field Research tasks. A handful of bonuses will be active throughout the event as well, including increased odds of encountering shiny versions of Swablu, Magikarp, and Wimpod.

Pokemon Go is holding a Mega Kangaskhan Raid Day on May 3.
During the event, Mega Kangaskhan Raids will occur at all nearby Gyms from 2-5 PM local time. Not only will each Kangaskhan you face know the normal-type Charged Attack Stomp, but you'll also have increased odds of encountering a shiny Kangaskhan.
Additionally, Pokemon Go will temporarily increase the number of Remote Raid Passes you can hold to 20. You'll also be able to receive up to five extra Raid Passes for free when you spin the Photo Disc at Gyms.
Pokemon Go is getting regal with a Crown Clash event from May 10-18.
As part of the event, the Big Blade Pokemon Kingambit will make its Pokemon Go debut. To get one, you must set Bisharp as your buddy and defeat 15 dark- or steel-type Pokemon.
In addition, Pokemon with royal evolved forms--such as Slowpoke, Piplup, and Snivy--will appear more frequently in the wild, while special crown-wearing variants of Nidoqueen and Nidoking can be caught in three-star raids.

Pokemon Go is hosting another Max Battle Weekend from May 10-11, this time featuring Dynamax Suicune.
Throughout the event, Dynamax Suicune will appear as a five-star Max Battle boss, making this your first chance to challenge one. On top of that, a handful of bonuses will be active during the event. The number of Max Particles you can collect is being temporarily increased, and you'll receive eight times the usual number of Max Particles from Power Spots.
Pokemon Go's first Community Day of May is set for May 11, and it stars the electric Pokemon Pawmi.
From 2-5 PM local time, Pawmi will appear in the wild much more frequently than usual, making this a good chance to stock up on Pawmi Candy. Not only that, but you'll have increased odds of encountering a shiny variant.
As with other featured Pokemon, Pawmi will be able to learn a special Community Day-exclusive move if you evolve it into its final form within a specific time frame. Every Pawmo that you evolve into Pawmot by May 18 will learn the Charged Attack Brick Break upon evolving.
In addition to the increased Pawmi spawns, Pokemon Go will also offer new Field and Timed Research tasks to complete during the event, as well as a variety of different bonuses. Any Lure Modules and Incense that you use will last for three hours, and you'll receive double Candy for catching Pokemon.
The nefarious Team Go Rocket is emerging from the shadows to take over the Crown Clash event from May 14-18.
Throughout the takeover, Team Go Rocket grunts will appear more frequently at PokeStops and in hot-air balloons, and they'll have new Shadow Pokemon in their possession, including Shadow Inkay, Shadow Tyrunt, and Shadow Amaura.
On top of that, various Shadow Pokemon will appear in one- and three-star raids throughout the event. There will also be a new Special Research story that culminates in a chance to rescue Shadow Dialga from Team Go Rocket boss Giovanni.
