XR glasses are essentially portable screens, allowing you to get a full-screen experience without needing to lug a monitor or a TV around with you. Viture's new glasses step things up with a display that makes you feel like you're sitting in front of an IMAX screen--imagine having a 174-inch TV in front of you--as each lens is powered by Sony's latest-generation Micro-OLED panel, allowing for a 58-degree field of view with a 120Hz refresh rate and 1200p resolution per eye. These are also the brightest screens that Viture has made to date, with each one offering up to 1,250 nits of brightness.

This means that you can also use them for gaming, as the XR Beast is compatible with PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Switch consoles, Steam Deck, ROG Ally, iPhone, Android phones, Mac, and PC via a USB-C connection. If you are planning to purchase these for Switch gaming, you will need a Viture Pro Mobile Deck for compatibility, which also doubles as a portable charger and USB-C dock for other devices. Xbox and PlayStation gamers can still connect the glasses to those consoles without the dock by using an HDMI input to USB-C output cable, but the dock is recommended. We've listed the best options below for you to check out.

Other features include several customization modes built right into the glasses, primarily focused on quality-of-life improvements like smart re-centering and auto transparency. Another useful feature is that you can tap the glasses to seamlessly shift between crystal-clear augmented reality and full cinematic blackout across multiple electrochromic levels. Audio is also pretty great, as these glasses are equipped with Harman AudioEFX speakers to pipe high-quality sound directly into your ears.

As for the construction, Viture says that it used a premium all-metal frame made from ultra-lightweight aircraft-grade materials. This means that the Beast XR weighs just 88 grams, allowing for it to be comfortably used all day while also having a high degree of durability. The glasses will be sold in two sizes--70 iPD and 74 iPD.

As mentioned above, you'll also get the translucent Viture x 8BitDo Ultimate 2C Bluetooth Controller for free with your purchase. The controller is compatible with Switch, Switch 2, PC, and mobile devices, plus it has two Hall Effect sticks and two extra remappable shoulder buttons.

If you'd like to check out Viture's other XR/AR glasses, you can also grab the Luma Pro ($499), the entry-level Luma glasses ($399). While these aren't as advanced as the Beast glasses, they're still a great way to experience augmented and mixed reality.

The Luma Pro XR Glasses are among the best models for productivity in particular, as the sharp 152-inch 1200p simulated display allows you to easily focus on letters and numbers. Another nice touch is the electrochromic film on the lenses that keeps your screen private from those around you.
